How Robin combines an affinity for technology with unwavering optimism
Robin Nater has been enriching the Online Group team with his positive attitude for five years. He is known for always seeing the glass half full, which contributes to a motivating atmosphere in our working environment.
As a software engineer, Robin has been instrumental in developing innovative portal solutions. He understands how to turn technical requirements into successful business cases and proactively cultivates valuable customer relationships. His ability to bridge the gap between technology and the business world is appreciated by our clients and colleagues alike.
But Robin is more than just a brilliant engineer.
He constantly inspires the team with profound philosophical discussions about the big questions of our time.
These discussions not only enrich our working day, but also foster a creative and inspiring environment.
To mark his fifth anniversary, we asked Robin to look back on his time at the company and put a few questions to him:
What has been the most memorable moment or event over the past few years at Online?
The team event in Amsterdam. The city is still my favorite destination for a city trip. In addition, the program was excellently selected and planned.
If you had a time machine and could go back to any point in your time as an employee, which moment or day would you choose and why?
At the beginning of my 3rd year of apprenticeship, when my first teacher Christian Burri was still here, because I would like to use my current knowledge to discuss the development of Portal4Industry with him. I learned a lot from him back then and I think I could still learn a lot from him today.
If your career here at the company were a soundtrack, what song or pieces of music would best represent it?
Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger by Daft Punk (for the iterative improvements to Portal4Industry, my skills and internal processes).
If you could choose one element of the corporate culture that has inspired you the most, what would it be and why?
One element of the corporate culture that has inspired me the most is the trust and responsibility that is placed in employees. At Online, we work very autonomously. The managers trust their teams to work independently and find their own solutions. I really appreciate the fact that even as a young employee I can already make a big difference.
We would like to thank Robin very much for his commitment and look forward to working with him in the future.
