Thank you Martin and congratulations on your 15th anniversary!
We are proud to celebrate Martin Frei’s 15th year with Online. He started as a software developer with us in Wil in 2007.
Martin has had a picture-perfect career over the past 15 years. Starting as a software developer in a team of four, he quickly developed into a true multi-talent. Today he acts as project manager, salesperson, developer and in parts also as system administrator for his “own” servers.
Customer wishes take center stage
In summary, Martin’s job can be described as follows: Fulfilling customer wishes. Implementing these concerns as precisely as possible is particularly close to his heart. In order to achieve mutual success, Martin listens to the customer’s needs in detail and offers the best possible solutions. In doing so, he develops good offers and concepts and implements the desired requirements in such a way that they are efficient and at the same time as easy as possible for the customer to maintain and service. It is always important to him that customer websites offer a great and unique experience for visitors and that information can be found as quickly as possible.
His activities are all about teamwork – both working with our clients and with our #proudOnliners. Martin values customer contact very much and is proud of many long-standing customer relationships. These are always based on great mutual trust, which makes the work all the more enjoyable for him.
He also enjoys working together with his team. It is not without reason that he has been an important part of our Microsoft Competence business unit for 15 years. His teammates appreciate Martin’s loyalty, his willingness to help in any situation, and his calm manner. Martin has a knack for keeping calm and always keeping a cool head even in critical situations. He doesn’t have a recipe for his relaxed manner: “It’s just my nature – in many cases it’s not worth getting upset,” he says.
There have been some highlights for Martin over the past 15 years. In terms of his work, it was primarily the last redesign for www.sg.ch. It was a rather large project, which was implemented enormously successfully despite a small team.
Of course, our online events are also among Martin’s highlights, be it the very cool ski weekends or the team events in Krakow and Berlin.
Football tenue, skis and hiking boots are part of the equipment
For Martin, sports activities are high on his list for leisure activities. As an avid football fan, he very often romps around the football field. He serves as sports director on the board of FC Stammheim and coaches the B Juniors there. As if this were not enough of a program, he also plays an active role. He is also often seen in the mountains: hiking in summer, skiing in winter.
The Online Group team thanks Martin for his great work and for his commitment over the past 15 years. We are very much looking forward to further cooperation with him.
What I appreciate about Martin is his calm and level-headed manner – even in difficult situations. He is enormously helpful and supports his teammates and me in tricky situations at any time of the day or night. His work is always of impeccable top quality.
