What was the most exciting book you’ve read in the last few months and what exactly fascinated you about it?
I’ve read a lot of books, but the most interesting one is definitely “Eat That Frog” by Brian Tracy. The title may sound like a French cookbook, but it’s actually about increasing productivity with 21 techniques. I used to struggle with distractions like social media notifications on my phone and trying to focus on multiple tasks at once. This book gave me a number of ideas on how to change that. For example, turning off notifications and focusing on the most important task first.
If you could choose one superpower, what would it be and how would you use it?
If I could choose a superpower that has nothing to do with my work, I would definitely want to have the ability to heal others. There are so many illnesses that take months or even years to recover from. It would be fantastic if I could just touch someone to make them well. As a job-related superpower, I would choose the ability to learn new technologies, languages and skills quickly. The IT world is evolving so fast that it’s almost impossible to keep up with everything.
What is your favorite saying or quote?
I really like the saying “If not me, then who?”. That motivated me to become a programmer, and now I’m proud of that decision. Another similar saying, “If not now, then when?”, helped me decide to move to the south of France (Antibes) to work and enjoy the country and its people at the same time.
