KHR digitizes contract management with SharePoint solution from Online

Kraftwerke Hinterrhein AG (KHR), a major Swiss energy supply company, has significantly modernized its contract management with our solution. Previously, KHR used a SharePoint on-premise library to store the contracts. In order to manage the contracts more efficiently and improve functionality, we migrated all contract data and metadata to SharePoint Online.

KHR, based in Thusis, supplies around one million people with renewable energy from hydropower. With a portfolio of reservoirs, dams and run-of-river power plants, KHR is also involved in numerous energy projects and the protection of nature and the local population. The company is owned 50 percent each by the cantons of Graubünden and Zurich.

The new contract management solution with SharePoint Online brings considerable benefits to KHR. It significantly simplifies the management of contracts. In addition, integrated tools such as PowerAutomate and Azure Functions allow the creation of unique contract numbers and the automatic renewal of contracts. These technological improvements reduce the manual effort for all users and at the same time increase the quality of the data. This makes the process faster, more efficient and error-free.

The solution

• KHR has chosen SharePoint Online as the basis for contract management. This platform enables efficient and secure document management.
• The implementation of the filing services is supported by PowerAutomate, which enables the automation of various processes, e.g. automated reminders for invoice runs.
• Azure Functions is used to generate unique contract numbers and simplify the exchange of contract managers.
• The integration of the PnP Modern Search Tool from the Microsoft Community enables individual search and filter functions that allow precise navigation in the contract data.
• The data migration was automated with the help of ShareGate, which ensures a seamless and secure transfer of contract data.
