Welcome to Online, Xing!
We are delighted to welcome our new colleague Xing as a System Engineer in the Cloud Security & Infrastructure business unit. He has recently joined our technical team with in-depth expertise and a keen interest in intelligent solutions for modern cloud systems.
With an overview, team spirit and an understanding of technology – that’s Xing’s job at Online
In his role, Xing is responsible for supporting our customers in the areas of Microsoft 365, Azure and IT infrastructure – from analysis and design to implementation. He ensures that systems run stably, securely and efficiently and implements system solutions that make our customers’ day-to-day work easier.
What makes Xing wonder, dream or think? We have asked.
What profession would appeal to you for a day – apart from IT?
I am adventurous and open to new things. That’s why I could well imagine being part of an expedition, for example as an explorer in the rainforest.
If you could travel with a time machine – where to?
Into the future! I’m particularly interested in technologies and future developments.
If I could go back in time, then to the Middle Ages. I’ve always been fascinated by swords and knights. There would be a lot to discover, be it politically, culturally or geographically.
Is there a talent that your team might not know about?
I trained in acupuncture in Chengdu, China.
Three celebrities at your dining table – who would you invite?
Albert Einstein, Christopher Columbus and Elon Musk.
- I would ask Columbus what drove him and how he organized his journey.
- I would love to see how Einstein would react to today’s technologies and artificial intelligence. What new ideas would he have?
- I would ask Musk how he envisions the world in 20 to 30 years and what it will take for great technological visions to become reality.
Above all, I think it would be exciting to hear Einstein and Musk discuss the future of humanity together.
Which superpower would you like to have?
Clearly: teleportation! I could teleport myself to the Maldives after work or spontaneously visit family and friends and if someone needs help, I’d be there in seconds.
Is there a motto that inspires you?
“The key to happiness lies in enjoying life and being grateful for what you have.” – Dalai Lama.
A lot can happen in life. For me, gratitude and flexibility are particularly important, especially at a time when everything is changing rapidly.
Which ability of an animal would you adopt?
Fly! The feeling of absolute freedom, new perspectives, spontaneous discovery tours – and simply seeing the world from above at any time.
Whether in system design or in thinking: Xing brings movement, vision and new horizons to our team.
