A new challenge with global impact! In cooperation with our partner, a leading Swiss company in the food industry, we’re looking for a Senior IT PMO Manager to join the Group IT / IT Value Management Office team.

This is a strategic and senior-level role designed for a highly experienced professional who thrives in complex, international environments. You will play a key part in shaping IT governance, ensuring delivery excellence, and driving alignment across the organization’s global IT demand and project portfolios.

Your tasks

  • Lead and continuously evolve IT governance frameworks, policies, and best practices to ensure consistency, visibility, and accountability across all IT initiatives.
  • Host weekly IT Governance Boards, ensuring transparency, progress tracking, and timely follow-up on IT demands, projects, and programs.
  • Oversee the global IT demand, project, and program portfolio to ensure strategic alignment, prioritization, and optimal resource utilization.
  • Define and maintain standards, delivery metrics, and reporting frameworks, driving continuous improvement by benchmarking practices and integrating industry standards (PMI, ITIL, COBIT) into IT PMO operations.
  • Drive adoption and optimization of ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM) — support enhancements, coordinate UAT, train users, promote best practices, and conduct proactive health checks to ensure quality and compliance.
  • Act as the center of excellence for IT PMO operations, maintaining a centralized repository of knowledge, templates, artifacts, and lessons learned while coaching and supporting Project Managers and business stakeholders in applying governance principles and maximizing the value of ServiceNow SPM.
  • Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to assess project size, complexity, and impact — particularly within SAP-related initiatives — ensuring accurate scoping and resource planning.
  • Facilitate effective communication and alignment between business and IT to ensure shared goals, expectations, and priorities across all initiatives.
  • Manage PMO operational processes — including coordination tools, shared mailboxes, onboarding/offboarding of project resources, access management, and compliance tracking — maintaining operational discipline through action logs, progress trackers, and timely follow-ups.
  • Monitor and report on portfolio health, project performance, and resource utilization using ServiceNow SPM and Power BI dashboards.
  • Support financial planning, cost tracking, and forecasting across the IT portfolio, ensuring adherence to budget principles and governance standards.

What you bring with you

  • Excellent English communication, stakeholder management, and coaching skills, with confidence to engage and influence senior leadership.
  • Ability to persuade, inspire, and drive alignment across diverse stakeholders, effectively championing ideas and ensuring governance principles are followed.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in IT project and portfolio management, including at least 10 years in an IT PMO Manager role.
  • Proven expertise in ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM), including IT Demand, Project, Portfolio, Resource, Agile, Performance Analytics, and Investment Portal modules.
  • Strong understanding of IT processes, project delivery methodologies, and enterprise applications — particularly SAP.
  • Hands-on experience in developing governance frameworks, policies, and training programs.
  • Proficiency in Power BI for data visualization, executive reporting, and performance dashboards.
  • Understanding of budget principles and financial planning within IT.
  • Skilled in project management tools such as ServiceNow, MS Project, or similar platforms.
  • Flexible and pragmatic approach, with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities while maintaining structure and focus.
  • Leadership mindset — proactive, autonomous, and accountable, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and drive initiatives independently.
  • Experience in international/global business environments (food industry background not required).
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, ITIL, ServiceNow SPM Fundamentals) are a strong plus.
