T&L dialog on the topic of artificial intelligence
In recent years, the St.Gallen Cantonal Police has optimized its efficiency and service for citizens through numerous digitalization projects.
At this year’s T&L Dialog, there was intense discussion about whether artificial intelligence could be the next step or even a revolution:
- AI can increase efficiency, e.g. through automated reporting, so that the focus can be placed even more on operations and not on administration.
- AI can increase safety, e.g. by quickly informing all emergency services of the relevant facts about the situation and the environment via voice AI based on open data information.
- AI can support the decision-making process, for example by providing the emergency call center with timely, situation-specific suggestions for the optimal resources.
Data protection and accountability are of course guaranteed.
The Cantonal Police is ready for the AI-supported future.
