Welcome to Online, Marcel!
We are delighted that Marcel Gerhardt has recently joined the Online Group. He supports our customer projects as a consultant and project manager with analytical thinking and a clear sense of what is feasible.
As a proven power platform specialist, Marcel combines structure with openness to new perspectives and thus provides fresh impetus for our consulting team.
What makes Marcel curious and what makes him think? Time for a few personal insights.
Who would you invite to a dinner party – and what would you ask?
I would like to see three very different personalities at one table: Steve Jobs, Elon Musk and Donald Trump.
I would ask Steve Jobs whether, with all this technology, we have really created tools that serve people – or whether we have simply found new ways to keep ourselves busy.
I would like to challenge Elon Musk: Is it really your goal to colonize Mars and “evacuate” humanity from Earth – or is the whole thing more of a technological adventure with personal appeal?
And with Donald Trump, I would be interested to know whether he believes that leadership today has more to do with attention than with a genuine willingness to compromise.
If you could work on a social project for a week, which one would you choose?
I would like to get involved in a Welthungerhilfe project. For me, building wells, supporting local agriculture and food security are concrete ways of improving livelihoods – and giving people long-term prospects. That would be meaningful for me.
Which animal ability would you like to have?
I would like to be able to fly like a bird. Simply being free to decide where you want to go without worrying about obstacles or restrictions – that would be true independence for me.
What was the most adventurous place you’ve ever been?
One experience that I particularly remember was on Tenerife: I stood on a steep cliff overlooking a tiny beach of black sand at the foot of the cliff. Access was difficult, but the atmosphere down there – wild, secluded, impressive – was definitely worth the adventure.
Marcel will definitely leave his mark with his energy and curiosity. We look forward to continuing our collaboration!
