The Online Group is further expanding its management team and appointing Fabian Zürcher as Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Chief Information Security Officer (CISO). At the same time, he will be appointed to the Executive Board. With this appointment, the Online Group is underlining the strategic importance of operational excellence and information security – particularly in the context of ISO 27001 certification.
Fabian Zürcher has been part of the Online Group since September 2024 and, as Head of the Cloud Security & Infrastructure business unit, has made a significant contribution to further developing expertise in the areas of cloud security and cloud infrastructure. Particularly noteworthy is the fact that he and his team successfully introduced ISO 27001 certification at the Online Group – a milestone that demonstrates the company’s high security standards and strengthens the trust of customers and partners.
With over 20 years of experience in the IT industry and more than a decade in the Microsoft Cloud, he is a proven expert and pioneer. His extensive expertise in managed services, cloud operations and IT outsourcing makes him a key driver for operations and security.

In his new role, Fabian Zürcher has overall responsibility for:
- Operational management and further development of the operations organization
- Ensuring the highest quality standards in services and processes
- Responsibility for information security and compliance as part of ISO 27001 certification
- Expansion of expertise in cloud security, infrastructure and managed services
His signature is already evident in the successful further development of Cloud Operations and IT Outsourcing. With his promotion to the Executive Board, Fabian Zürcher will further strengthen the operational and security-related basis of the Online Group.
