Welcome to the team, “Günti“
Thomas “Günti” Güntensperger has recently joined our team. With his appointment, we are making targeted investments in further market development and strengthening our customer work with additional consulting expertise.
Günti has over 25 years of experience in sales and the development of strategic customer relationships and has been working in IT since the 1990s – from technical entry as a developer to the public sector and many years in management positions.
Strong partnerships with our customers
As a client partner, Günti supports companies in developing their digitalization in a structured manner – from the modern workplace to cloud and security architectures to IT outsourcing and AI-supported business processes. He uses his experience to prioritize technological opportunities together with clients and translate them into concrete business benefits.
Of course, we also wanted to know what Günti is passionate about outside of work. That’s why we asked him a few personal questions.
Which profession would you like to choose for a day and why?
I would like to work as a paragliding instructor for a day. I have been flying paragliders myself since 1993. After my certification, I helped out with training for a while and later organized group excursions for newly certified pilots. For me, days on the mountain, or even better, high above the mountains, are some of the best experiences of all.
Which book have you been particularly interested in recently?
To be honest, I’m not reading that much at the moment. But I’ve had “The Song of the Crayfish” on my bedside table for a while now. I’ll let you know again as soon as I’ve read the book.
Is there a talent that your colleagues might not know about?
I am lucky enough to be able to make cross-country flights with my paraglider. It’s difficult to explain exactly how it works. You don’t have a motor or anything like that with you. You work with the wind and the thermals. In flight, you’re constantly interpreting the weather, sensing wind directions, reading the topography, calculating climb and glide rates and so on. And then it’s somehow a mixture of intuition and luck when, after a long valley crossing or below a rock face, the thermal is actually “there” where I expected it to be. If it’s not, I’m also on the ground unexpectedly early.
Who would you invite to a dinner party?
That’s easy: Snoop Dogg, Einstein and Obama. The questions? That would come up, I’m sure of it.
Which superpower would you like to have?
Flying without aids. Just spread your arms out and off you go. I’ve dreamed about it regularly since I was a child and still enjoy it today when it happens every few weeks. However, I will never BASE jump or wingsuit.
What was the most adventurous place you’ve ever visited?
A trip through Botswana was an incredibly intense and formative experience.
