Ursula Koller has been bringing atmosphere, structure and soul to the office for 25 years – and never ceases to surprise us
A quarter of a century of #proudOnliner – you have to achieve that first. Uschi is as much a part of online as coffee during a break. For 25 years, she has worked tirelessly and with a great deal of passion to ensure that everything in our office not only runs smoothly, but also looks good, smells good and sometimes even tastes particularly good.
There’s no such thing as impossible – Uschi makes it possible
Uschi is officially our facility manager. But anyone who knows her knows that her role can hardly be described by a title. She is a decorator, craftswoman, improviser, cook and confidante – in short, the good soul of the company. She takes care of everything that goes on in the background – and that’s quite a lot. From the ballpoint pen to the catering during breaks to conversions: Uschi has everything under control and is a true talent for improvisation. She acts with level-headedness, a keen sense of economy and a large dose of pragmatism.
Even during challenging phases and unpredictable changes, Uschi could always be relied on. She kept the business running with great composure, maintained her unmistakable sense of humor and used loving gestures to ensure that everyone felt connected – even if they had to work together at a distance at times.
We asked Uschi to look back and answer a few questions about her time at Online.
When you look back on your time at Online, what unexpected challenges did you overcome with particular success?
The entire corona period. As a facility manager, I was particularly challenged when almost everyone was suddenly working from home. Despite the empty offices, I never lost my sense of humor or optimism.
If you had the opportunity to work in a different area at Online for a limited period of time: Which one would it be – and why?
I would like to look over the shoulder of a software engineer. It would be exciting to understand the complexity of IT a little better, because programming is a closed book for me.
What three words best describe your time at Online?
Valued. Motivated. Free.
Committed to working together
Uschi has always gone the extra mile – not for the applause, but because it comes naturally to her. And because she feels connected to online and the people here. This attitude not only makes her indispensable for our company, but also for each and every one of us personally.
Working with Uschi is simply a pleasure. She is always up for any idea, no matter how unusual, and is always energetic – and nothing is ever too much for her. Thanks to her, our tasks and events are always more than successful because she thinks along with us, tackles things and keeps an overview.
Dear Uschi, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your daily commitment, your warmth and especially for your 25 years of loyalty to the company.
