How It All Began: A Joint Practical Project
Sometimes a collaboration begins long before the first official day on the job.
That was certainly the case with Berat Koxha, who has recently joined our team as a consultant and project manager.
We first met Berat during a joint practical project with OST—the University of Applied Sciences of Eastern Switzerland. Together with his project team, he further developed our AI Readiness & Maturity Check for SMEs. It was particularly important to Berat to make artificial intelligence more tangible for businesses and to connect scientific insights with concrete real-world challenges.
The central question was: Where does a company stand when it comes to AI, and what are the next logical steps?
The enhanced assessment provides a well-founded evaluation of the current situation and identifies specific areas for action based on the AI maturity level. And it’s been quite successful: The joint practical project ranks among the top 3 in the WTT YOUNG LEADER AWARD 2026 in the Management Concept category.
But what makes us even happier is that the project has led to more than just a successful collaboration.
The Path to Online
During the practical project, Berat was in regular contact with our consulting team. This gave him direct insight into how we work, our projects, and the issues that concern us and our clients.
He found his collaboration with Online to be practical, open, and constructive. He was particularly impressed by the combination of technical expertise, business acumen, and an understanding of our customers’ specific needs.
The positive experiences and the prospect of continuing to develop and implement such projects together with clients in the future convinced Berat to take his next career step at Online. This collaboration led to a speculative application. And a member of the OST project team became a new member of our Online team.
Here’s where Berat brings his strengths to bear
As a consultant and project manager, Berat focuses in particular on Modern Work, quality management, and digital solutions.
In doing so, he brings both his analytical approach and his interest in new technologies and their practical benefits in everyday business operations.
It almost goes without saying that AI continues to play a role in this. At the Zurich Hackathon during Swiss {ai} Weeks, for example, Berat participated alongside other colleagues from the Online Group. There, the team explored agentic AI and the question of how much autonomy we want to give AI agents—and where human control is still needed.
So for Berat, this is the perfect opportunity to dive right into his next tasks.
Welcome to Online, Berat!
We’re thrilled to have you as part of our team!
