We wanted to know what inspires Mikayil and makes him dream outside of project work – here are his answers.
Which book impressed you most recently – and why?
Gustave Le Bon’s book Psychology of the Masses made a deep impression on me. It is fascinating to see how people behave completely differently in a group than alone. In a crowd, many people lose their individuality, are more easily influenced and are more susceptible to manipulation. Le Bon impressively describes how emotions and moods can be contagious in a group and how quickly opinions and actions can spread. The book opens people’s eyes to how powerful collective dynamics are – and how important it is to be aware of them. Anyone who wants to understand why people often act differently in a crowd than they do alone should definitely read this book!
Is there a crazy goal you still want to achieve?
Absolutely! My big dream is to really travel to all the continents of the world one day. I’ve already seen many corners of the world, but Australia and Africa are still missing from my map.
What was the most adventurous place you have visited?
Definitely Rio de Janeiro! I’ve even been there twice – and each time the city has fascinated me anew. The sights are simply breathtaking: from the famous Sugar Loaf Mountain to the Christ the Redeemer statue and the endless beaches of Copacabana and Ipanema.
But what particularly impressed me was the juxtaposition of rich and poor in Rio. Nowhere else have I experienced so closely how close luxury and poverty are to each other – that makes the city unique and moving at the same time. Rio is full of energy, contrasts and adventure – and remains unforgettable for me!
With Mikayil, we are not only gaining a professional for Microsoft Dynamics 365, but also a person with vision, enthusiasm for technology and a feel for individual customer needs.
Welcome to Online Group – we are very much looking forward to our journey together!
