Mapping complex processes with Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement

In the webinar “Structured Collaboration in the Pipeline and Project Process”, we show a customer example of which we are particularly proud. It proves how strong the Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement (CE) business platform is also in combination with Microsoft Teams and SharePoint Online. Strong in the sense of: Mapping of complex processes with multilayered authorizations, automatisms and synchronization.

Growth on a stable (IT) foundation

Companies strive for growth. But you can only grow if you have a stable foundation. Inefficient processes across various isolated applications and a sluggish IT architecture can be a hindrance. Growth also needs committed employees – but they are increasingly being held back in their drive by inefficient IT landscapes. This aspect should not be underestimated.

Dynamics 365 solution approach – mapping pipeline and project process

In a live demo, Daniel Sevinc, project manager, presented the solution approach with Dynamics 365 CE, SharePoint Online and Microsoft Teams. The solution maps the management of sales opportunities and the subsequent projects. Depending on the selected attributes, the authorization roles are assigned automatically and a workflow with different steps and approvals is started.

After defined process sequence, team provisioning is automatically performed. This means Teams creates a defined project space (Team) with defined folder structure and all other features known from Teams (chat, posts, etc.). A highlight is that the authorizations and roles are automatically synchronized from Dynamics 365.

  • Automated process sequences and corresponding notifications keep every project member informed about the current status of the opportunity and project at all times.
